The Classics IV were a great band--they had to be, to supply so many jazz-tinged pop lovesong hits to a radio world in the US that was moving in the direction of psychedelia and hard driving blues rock in the late 's. But deliver they did, and you will find the big hits here, "Spooky", "Stormy", "Traces" and "Everyday with you, Girl"/5(85). All their hits are here and the sound is pretty good. Collectables Records does a respectable job of remastering old hits (few, if any labels, however, do it as well as Eric Records). It sure beats EMI's 10 Best series version, bland and muddy sounding as are most of the major labels remastering efforts/5(14). The Classics were a one-hit vocal group who made the Top 20 in with a doo-wop version of the Mills Brothers’ hit ‘Till Then’. The group, all from Brooklyn, comprised Emil Stucchio (9 April ; lead vocals), Tony Victor (b. 11 April ; first tenor), Johnny Gambale (b. 4 February ; second tenor) and Jamie Troy (b. 22 November.
