Opted to buy this Cherry Pop reissue after hesitation due to vinyl sourcing issues on their reissue of Visage's "The Anvil", but am very glad I did buy this version in the end! Owning the US CDA just showed how well the original UK track-order worked (tracks were jiggled around on the US version, resulting in some messy interludes and acapella /5(41). Far out! I like the song where God lost his temper and created a flood that wiped everyone out except Noah and his family. It sorta engulfs you, so to speak. You love the controversy. It sells papers. Your defense of ML is laughable. You are showing your age and how you love to troll here. Although I totally disagree with this review and everything he has said about Kanye in this review Malachi has written some great reviews and articles on this site.

He is very impressive for his age. Thanks J. Carter, I try. You're acting more childish than anyone here, you are making no sense whatsoever. I'm also possibly older than you BTW. I totally disagree with your cruel ad-hominem attack on ML. It's refreshing to have his perspective on this forum, so as to create a counterpoint with the older audience and critics. If you disagree with Malachi, just state your case rather than attack him personally.

I sense MF is quite pleased with ML's perspective and sees it as an articulate viewpoint from a much younger perspective. I'd say Malachi's only less-than-ideal word choice was to state KW is "indisputably one of the greatest artists of all time" Obviously, that statement is totally incorrect. Whether KW is "great" or not, it's not "indisputable"! He probably already realizes this. I agree with much of what you said here but the other, worse less-than-ideal word choice here was "No matter your likely misguided opinion of him personally".

Especially the misguided part. Kanye may be a very talented artist I actually am a fan of his earlier work but not his recent stuff but he is a wack job of epic proportions, Glad Youre Alive - Snowaxe - Were All Different (Vinyl.

That is very hard to dispute. While I too disagree with Malachi's assessment of Kanye West, I feel the need to defend his right to state his opinion. We all are free to disagree as I do but attacks "ad-hominem" are logical fallacies. They are not the right way to discuss the matter. In fact, Malachi went about it properly, in my opinion. He made a statement then he proceeded to back it up with further information and statements.

Of course, we can discuss and go after those, and probably would if things were not turning disagreeable - let's have some civility. Because you know what, well, what is your alternative? The Beatles? I know people that call even their best regarded albums just pop pap. And could go on. Someone already mentioned Mozart. Just look and you will find some Mozart hate in the classical music groups.

And could go on My or yours best artist of all time is someone else's bottom of the trash pile When CharlieXCX is considered high art Whether you appreciate Charlie XCX or not she is incredibly talented. She makes some of the more inventive music LP) popular music today and she writes and performs most of it on her albums.

She may not be your type of music LP) she still should be appreciated for what she has been able to do so far in her young career. Not acknowledging this makes you unknowledgeable of current music and you should not be taken as serious as this website. If all you want to read is "News From the Echo Chamber" go somewhere else.

I'm 68 and I always try to listen to Malichi's recommendations. While I usually don't like them at least they aren't the latest version of Kind of Blue which I've listened to for 50 years.

Jeeze give the guy a break. To say that someone who has an opinion that Glad Youre Alive - Snowaxe - Were All Different (Vinyl different than yours doesn't know what he's talking about completely discounts any perspective that informs that opinion and shows your own intolerance and ignorance.

And yeah Bobby Goldsboro? Get a life! What century are YOU from?? You sound like a Daycare Fascist! At least an ass who doesn't respect people's opinions, which in turn makes you more 'childish' than Malachi. Have you read your melt-down here?? Yesus, man! Times have changed, and I applaud Malachi for expressing his opinions, as I may not check out his music otherwise. That has value, especially in light of your conservative, dated attitudes elucidated above.

In 'protecting' Analog Planet's readership, you would also relegate us to less of everything. Who does that help? Me or you? You, selfishly. Yes, these columns are coming fast and furious. I am sure Malachi is getting paid for these, as he deserves to. Michael obviously has a warm relationship with Malachi. And I can see why. If fact, he writes better than most adults in this country!

However, I wonder if this is what Michael envisioned when he welcomed his submissions to Analog Planet. Speaking personally, most of his columns, I think, are, for the most part, directed towards a younger audience. But I wonder how many of us are interested in his selections. I certainly could be wrong about this. Lastly, some of the criticisms here have merit. He can be patronizing at times.

The first paragraph alone is enough to annoy a prospective reader. And really, Malachi— to call Kanye West the greatest artist resting dead? No wonder he stirred the ire of many readers. Search form Search. Analog Corner. This will make a nice addition to the collection. Enjoyable album from a label I like. Win win. So whilst not needed — I of course want this copy like a collector who hoards needlessly! And it would be great to get them on vinyl.

This is my favourite album of hers LP) the colour looks pretty, though it clashes a bit with the subdued saturation of the cover artwork. My original vinyl edition sounded good but has gotten a few scratches in the early years. The early CD edition I got unfortunately sounds rather hollow in sound, lacking warmth and dynamics. There are no sound clips available for a comparison of all these editions.

Does anybody have the Mobile Fidelity vinyl and does it sound better than the original early vinyl and CDs? Makes me wonder how many are now rebuying vinyl to replcce the CD they bought to replace their old vinyl?

The title track is the obvious standout. On a side note — Definitely time we started correcting lazy English spelling on British releases as the Americans do when things are released there. It sort of does matter. Unless of course Cyndi is numbering them herself, hopefully 2, means 2, it means a lot to numbers collectors, and the odd record collector, that sort of thing. Bought this at the time. It has 2 good songs on it. No, sorry but album is a classic full of great songs.

From start to end. I recently bought the Japanese Best Remixes on vinyl. Apparently there are 20 bootlegs floating around from Brazil. This is what I was told when I bought mine. But so worth it to me as I have been wanting it on vinyl for years. So i settled for the bootleg. Your email address will not be published.

However, that is what I feel and have thought that since the first time I heard it. Desmond Child brought a much needed spark to the songs.

There is not one song I would delete. The sonics of the album were consistent and the album felt like one cohesive package. Each song was meant to be exactly where it was in the order. In fact, more songs from this album were on their greatest hits than any other.

There is not much more I can say except you have to have this one for your collection. And there you have it, the Ratt albums in order of how I rank them from the worst to the first.

Let me know what you think. Where did we differ and where did we agree. What is fun about these list is how differently each album impacts people. What I like, you might not, but we like the same band and that is all that matters really. Thanks for spending all this time with my Ratt Reviews and I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did writing them. Quite a difference between their best and worst, huh? Not a bad hit ratio, though! Then it all fell apart. I love lists man! I uploaded my crappy pictures to my computer for the review I will work on this weekend. I enjoyed it way more than I expected. I am glad to say I have seen Alice Cooper live now.

For sure. I look forward to your review to see how close the set lists were to each other! Like Like. Cool series, now I know more about this band and their Glad Youre Alive - Snowaxe - Were All Different (Vinyl. All I have is the Hits colleciton. So much for my memory, eh? There are three signs of old age. Although, at 44, I was hoping to get a few more years before this started happening…. It is such a great album. When I finally got it on Vinyl I was so excited.

It sounds even better now. You are commenting using your WordPress. You are commenting using your Google account. You are commenting using your Twitter account.

Here Mario Millo's guitar playing isn't too different from Carlos Santana, while Toivo Pilt's keyboard playing isn't too different from Gregg Rolie. "Glad to Be Alive" is a ballad, at times reminding one of ELO (similar vocal harmonies, not to mention strings). "No Scruples" is a great piece, especially the use of Moog, Mellotron, and string.
