Jan 18, AJ rated it it was amazing Shelves: enemies-to-loversnetgalleyromanticpb-i-ownarcangstfestseries-standalonesteamy. I loved the first book in this series, The One Real Thing.
Not only was it a wonderful story, but I fell in love with the town of Hartwell and its residents and I have been so excited to dive back into this world — this time for the story of Bailey and Vaughn this book can also easily be read as a standalone.
Bailey Hartwell is all kinds of awesome. She is bold 4. She is bold and confident, she speaks her mind which I love! He is a hotel magnate, and from the moment he came to town with plans to build a hotel on the boardwalk, he and Bailey have been enemies.
Of course there was going to be hostility. And here I thought he was just a dick. OMG, I love this relationship! The enemies-to-lovers trope is a favourite of mine and this one is fantastic! Full of chemistry, banter, and heated glares, I could feel everything that was building between them. The book is written in dual POV so we know exactly what both of them are feeling, and I love that Bailey is the one to step up and finally make a move on the man that intrigues her and makes her burn like no other.
I want Every Little Thing to. I want you to lay me down on that bed and take what you want. You want to right? Who would have thought the smooth, controlled and seemingly cold businessman was actually so freaking hot!!! He brings that control into the bedroom, but when he gets revved up, watch out! The man is all passion and fire, and the sexy time is absolutely Every Little Thing Hot as fuck. Bailey Harwell liked a little dirt in bed. But despite their red-hot passion for each other, their story is not an easy one.
Their love story is beautifully romantic, epically swoony and super hot! They are committed and functional, and very much in love, and I love that! It impacts on both Bailey and Vaughn, and creates a nice sense of tension, and I like the over-arching storyline that it brings to the series — as well as the hints of things to come. I loved this book. I cannot wait for more! I stared up at him. It scares the living daylights out of me. A boyish, wicked grin that made me feel like my heart might burst out of my chest.
Mar 07, Eliza rated it really liked it Shelves: i-dont-do-lovefeb Its idyllic setting and charismatic residents make for a wonderful accoutrement to a series that continues to enamour with every novel read. As the owner of the local Inn her competition and adversary is wealthy hotelier, Vaughn Tremaine. What could have been a straight forward enemies to lovers story is further characterised by a personal journey they both take. As it seems to be the trend in this series Samantha sets the scene for the supporting characters to receive the Hartwell treatment.
I have my fingers and toes crossed for Emery and Jack. Mar 10, Geri Reads rated it liked it. They have this tangible chemistry wrapped in animosity that was enjoyable to watch. So my expectations were set very high. For the most part, my expectations were met. I enjoyed their hateful banter and the fact they're obviously hot for each other.
But their romance was uneven for me. They spent so much time sniping and hating each other throughout the book that the romance kinda fell by the wayside for m 3. They spent so much time sniping and hating each other throughout the book that the romance kinda fell by the wayside for me.
One of the reasons why I feel like the romance lacked was the fact that Bailey had a lot of shit to deal with. From her crazy sister to her inn and the Devlins It was too much. Vaughn also has his hands full. And while the last few chapters did deliver on the sweet romance side it felt a little bit too late. It was still good but I wish there had been more of it. Despite that, I find myself falling more and more in love with the people of Hartwell. I'm so curious about Jack Devlin.
I hope we'll get his story. And oh, Bailey's bestie too. I can already feel the angst on that one. While romance fell short for me, I still enjoyed reading this book. Samantha Young has a way of pulling you into her world and never letting you go. This series has already captured my attention and I won't stop until I've read every single story of this series.
Glad I could finally read this paperback, thank heavens for weekends! I enjoyed this one so much! As all my friends know I love enemies to lovers stories so much! Samantha Young had me captivated from the start and I felt all the feelings Bailey and Vaughn felt! The dislike I felt for Vanessa Baileys sis wasn't small. Damn even know I get irritated with thinking about her. Vaughn and Bailey danced a lot aro 4.
Vaughn and Bailey danced a lot around each other but their journey was worth it all! For me I wanted more Stu closure. Very excited to read about Dahlia and Emery! One little disliking is that Vaughns part is in third person, this was also the case with Cooper. But since Bailey was more up front it was easier to overlook it. I went into Every Little Thing rather blind by not reading the first book in the Hart's Boardwalk series.
That being said, this can be read as a standalone novel, though I'd have enjoyed getting the entire background of the town and cast of characters. Obviously our two main characters, Bailey and Vaughn are introduced in that first book, or rather their rather tumultuous hatred for each other An enemies-to-lovers romance, Every Little Thing captivated both romance 3.
An enemies-to-lovers romance, Every Little Thing captivated both romance, friendship, family, and coastal small town quaintness. Vaughn Tremaine is a wealthy hotelier in small town Hartwell, Delaware. Having built one of the few newer construction buildings within the city limits was a feat within itself, especially coming up again the Princess of Hartwell, Bailey Hartwell.
Her family owns the quaint inn on the boardwalk and their start was rocky at best. She hated Vaughn, the wolf in Armani, and all his arrogance and money but his hotel was built nonetheless. Ah, but still no love-loss between them. Instead she placed the glass out of her way and leaned back on the palms of her hands. Bailey is all town sweetheart, quick to lend a hand or volunteer for charities. Vaughn, on the other hand, is more uptight, aloof- a stick prominently shoved up his arse on most occasions.
But with all their banter, the chemistry between the two of them is palpable. And once Bailey is back on the market, Vaughn finds himself interested. If only he did relationships. He does not An enjoyable, easy-reading romance, Every Little Thing has piqued my interest for the entire cast of characters in the Hart's Boardwalk series. It's a town full of loyalty, pride, and gossip. And I can't wait to see who falls in love next Advanced copy received by author in exchange for my honest review.
Dec 20, nick rated it really liked it Shelves: contemporaryarcadult. Reading a Samantha Young book is always such a pleasant experience. She has yet to disappoint me, and with Every Little Thing, she was written another strong romance novel with some fantastic characters. I love that I can always count on her to deliver a swoony read.
I just knew that their story would be explosive and it certainly was. I Every Little Thing adored both Bailey and Va Reading a Samantha Young book is always such a pleasant experience. I really adored both Bailey and Vaughn as characters here. Bailey, especially, was the perfect blend of feisty and vulnerable. I loved how passionate and driven she was about her inn. And her absolute loyalty to her friends was the sweetest. While Bailey was vivacious, Vaughn was more on the quiet, stoic side.
We get to see a lot of him here, and being inside his mind was quite the experience. He was a lot more emotional than I expected, and I liked that a lot. He had his moments where I wanted to slap some senses into him, but for the most part, Vaughn was a spectacularly sexy hero, who sure knew how to make a girl weak in the knees. The antagonistic chemistry between Bailey and Vaughn was terrific as expected.
Their romance was slow, but oh my goodness did it have a lot of achy tension that had my heart racing. I loved watching them become comfortable and finding solace with one another. I also loved the beachy setting of Hartwell. This series also has a terrific secondary cast, and I especially enjoyed all the female friendships — these girls know how to have fun and to be there for each other. It was also exciting to see sneak-peeks at the next couples. I NEED it to happen. Samantha Young is a favorite author of mine, and she has yet to disappoint with her books.
Fans of romances with a large cast, sexy romances and a lot of feels should definitely consider reading Every Little Thing. View all 9 comments. Bailey is so in your face and Vaughn is so reserved that I just knew there would be fireworks and indeed, there were. Essentially, Bailey and Vaughn love to hate each other and badger each other every chance they get.
Things start to change after Bailey walks in on her boyfriend of ten years having sex with a colleague's much younger girlfriend. A few other things happen and Vaughn just happens to be there But being there for Bailey helps turn things around. That and deciding to do what she wants leads Bailey to take what she wants and boy, is it steamy! However, Vaughn has some issues So he shuts down, and shuts Every Little Thing hard.
Definitely not what Bailey needed. There's some situations to cause the other to be jealous and some issues with Bailey's sugar daddy lovin' sister, Vanessa, that have to be dealt with. Luckily, Vaughn really pulls through.
I loved Vaughn's relationship with his father and how they helped each other and I was happy that Vaughn was able to man up. I loved how I enjoyed getting updates on the other couple and the other characters. What I didn't enjoy was Jack OMG, seriously? Not sure that I can be okay with that but I was right about who I thought he would end up with or who it is seeming to be at the moment!
And there's a new sheriff in town, Every Little Thing, Jeff King, sooo That surprise encounter has heartbreak written all over it! I hope their book is next! View all 6 comments. While this is completely different than that book, her writing still gives me the same feeling. She's beloved by her small town, currently with her boyfriend of 10 years hoping I'm remembering correctlyand owns a popular inn that she loves with everything she has.
After her boyfriend cheats on her, she finds herself captured with the towns playboy businessman, Vaughn Tremaine. In all honestly I wasn't a fan of his name at first but it somehow fits his personality! This only comes out with Bailey, the girl he's crushed on forever!
Due to his past, he feels he can't give Bailey why he deserves and therefore pushes her away. I'm not complaining though Every Little Thing was one of my most anticipated read this year. I fell in love with the Boardwalk in The Real One thing and I was eager to return to it as soon as possible. Once iceone fire, but both stubborn as hell" As much as this book is a stand-alone I would recommend beginning with the first book of the series.
You have all th Every Little Thing was one of my most anticipated read this year. Vaughn is always cold when around Bailey and she kept pushing each of his buttons.
I think I loved when they both let their guards down but I equally loved when they tease and fight each other off. Bailey was a radiant character. She is a positive person, easy-going who likes her town fiercely. She defends it and her inn is as important as who she is. She is also loyal and when you are friends with her, you can count on her defending you not matter what. I loved her personality in here even more. I knew she would be an endearing character and she was still true to herself.
Vaughn is a well-put businessman who doesn't know how to resist his attraction to the redhead who got him hot and bothered each time they fight. He doesn't want to commit, he never has and he is not sure of himself in that department. Once they gave in to their attraction I thought I would have an easy relation but that was without counting on Mrs Young making them doubt at the worse time possible for me.
It bothered me a little than first Vaughn and then Bailey were a little wary to give their story a real try. It took some time to get there, and while it was hot as hell I wanted things to go more smoothly for them earlier in this story.
Another side of the story I adore was the side characters. I was thrilled to have news from Emery. I can see a promising story for the shy woman. I hope she will get a story with Jake. I'm sure there's more than meet the eye to this supposed enemy. I have a sense the next book will be about Dahlia.
There's a lot of mystery around her and what happened in her past. Just enough to pick me interest. Like I told in my previous review, there are so many wonderful stories that can be told about this little town.
Feb 25, Dee Montoya rated it liked it Shelves: beautiful-coverarcnetgalley. Bailey is the sassy redhead who owns the Inn in town, and Vaughn is the sexy hotelier who just moved into town after opening his first hotel in the boardwalk. Bailey and Vaughn didn't get off to a great start when they first met, because Bailey is very protective of keeping the legacy of the town intact, and Vaughn was a thread with his new five star hotel.
These two characters were explosive together. They loved and hated each other with the same intensity. When Bailey discovered that her boyfriend of ten years have been cheating on her, and another jerk millionaire is trying to steal her Inn from under her, she is feeling vulnerable and lost, bringing her guard down she realizes that Vaughn is not as bad as she thinks. Vaughn will turn from villain to hero overnight, but is he ready to admit to his real feelings for Bailey?
Every Little Thing is the first book I read from this series. While I enjoyed the plot and it's characters, it did feel like there was something missing, or maybe it just felt like I already have read something like this before.
Regardless of the lack of uniqueness, this is a very talented author and the book did keep my interest throughout. I would recommend this book to anybody looking a romantic weekend read. If you love close-knit towns, slow burns, and enemies to lovers in your romances, you definitely want to give Every Little Thing a try! The man I thought I might have been waiting for my whole life. After her boyfriend of ten years cheats on her, Bailey is left floundering, unsure of what to do as a thirty-four year old single woman. She had dreams of being married, having the husband and kids, but all of that is up in the air now. Bailey and Vaughn got off on the wrong start, and their relationship has only nosedived from their.
He loved Bailey Hartwell, and it was time to decide whether he could push past his own fears and take what he wanted, or finally let go. To say Vaughn has issues would be an understatement. But Vaughn is nothing if determined to win the woman he was meant for.
The small-town vibes were absolutely perfect here — Samantha Young did an incredible job of bringing Hartwell to life. Bailey and Vaughn had the most delicious enemies-to-lovers romance — they love to hate and hate to love each other.

Emma was a true exception. So this guy, a bigwig in the local business community, beat the shit out of his wife, and it was my job to get him off even though we all knew he did it. I submitted my resignation, my partners bought me out, and here I am.
But after a while, it gets harder to wash off the scum. It stays with you. I made a lot of money in that job. The kind of money I used to dream about having back when we were scrambling to make ends meet after my dad left. But when I saw the police photos of the injured wife, something in me just said, Enough of this crazy shit. Anything is better than what I was doing there. A few said I was making a huge mistake, committing career suicide by moving home to the boonies.
She thought about that for a second, which gave him time to study her sweet face and cheeks made rosy by the heat of the fire as well as several glasses of chardonnay. Grayson immediately sensed from her hesitation that this was not something she talked about often. That was certainly a first.
Emma took a drink of her wine and continued to stare at the fire. Though he had no right, he drew her in closer to him, needing to hold her. I hated that he was so disappointed. As soon as I knew she was coming, I was in love with her. I love that. Not anymore. What he did to you, Emma… It was a crime. You know that, right? As much as one ever accepts such things.
She shook her head. If he were thinking like a lawyer, Grayson might have something to say to that. I want to spend more time together. And that was fine with him. She shook her head as she returned his gaze, never blinking as they drank each other in. Once again, Grayson acted before thinking, leaning in to kiss her. The slight mewling sound that came from her throat made him instantly hard. He drew back to look at her, slightly stunned by his reaction.
Her eyes were closed, her lips parted and damp. He dragged his fingertip over her bottom lip. Her eyes opened slowly, and she took a long look at him, as if trying to gauge his sincerity. I love you the more in that I believe you had liked me for my own sake and for nothing else. How was it possible to forget to breathe?
Waiting for the clock to move forward today, Emma had expected to feel regrets, recriminations or something negative for spilling the biggest secret of her life, a nearly ten-year-old secret that involved the most precious person in the world—her daughter, Simone.
It had been such a long time ago, and Emma was a big believer in looking ahead rather than back. Nothing good ever came from looking back. Simone was spending today and tonight with Colton and Lucy at their home on the mountain.
When she left with Lucy earlier, Emma heard her asking if they might see Fred the moose, and Lucy said you never knew when he might come by for a visit. Grayson was now the only other person on earth who knew Simone had come from a violent attack. Really, really nervous.
One year had become two, and two became three, and three had become a decade while she was busy raising her daughter, who would be ten in February. It had just worked out that way. After her sister finally accepted that Emma was never going to think of Troy in a romantic way, Lucy had urged her to try online dating.
But there was something so inherently frightening about the anonymity of the Internet, especially living as she did in New York City. She had a child to think about, so even if the idea of meeting a guy interested her, online dating did not.
